Would not have blurring btwn what character can hear and what audience can hear in modern film unless it"s for comedic relief. Music accompaniment for sound film for the first time in king kong. Would not see this in modern film unless it"s a musical. Every foot step gets a tuba note hitting the action to point mickey mousing. A year after king kong, academy awards (oscars) gave awards to best original score.
