The titles of these works usually give a clue as to which character that is being established. Went around in men"s clothing, and could do things men did. Liked to smoke (was not allowed for women at the time) Spent time with chopin while he was composing. Character piece - short and lyrical , tends to focus on a mood, or single emotion.
