At age 19: had his foreign debut, performed outside of his homeland, poland, he had a performance with many crowd pleasing music, but also some polish music that would have seemed new. Paris, the centre for intellectuals, music / art: wrote salon music + performed music here, could support himself mostly through selling compositions and teaching piano. Met people at salons, met many aristocrats and wealthy people. Suffered from many ailments throughout his life. Died of consumption / tuberculosis (or so we think, could have been something else) Mozart"s requiem was performed at his funeral.
