The late 1940"s see a process of consolidation. See changes that were happening over past years and during the war are consolidated, making them last a longer amount of time. Labour process of consolidation the relationships between unions and management and workers and employers have a foundation. A lot of it remains intact in canada. The one exception to this pattern is the status of women (don"t see change to the status of women during the war) These are temporary changes (when the war ends this sense becomes overwhelming) Role of women is to go back into the home. Propoganda is overly positive (you"ve aided in the war, good job, now go home and enjoy what you"ve done) Sense of reward is that their husbands and sons are coming back from the war. Very few women resist this (many go back into the home)
