Behaviour can be quantified by observing behaviour (ex: animals, humans) Mental processes can be quantified by asking participants about their mental processes. We can perform a number of everyday tasks without much effort or thought: we see, hear, feel, smell and taste, we move, we learn and we remember, we think.
