Research issues in the study of aging. Cohort effects: between or among group(s) of individuals, experience life differently across generations. Period or environmental effects: external factors that influence these individuals. Webcam 101 for seniors: changes overtime have had an impact on elderly people, massive change in technology, never involved in it from early stages. Quantitative: large patterns that are happening, statistical analysis, create numbers, percentages, make predictions, etc. Qualitative: micro oriented, meanings attached to people"s lives, their experiences, etc. Mixed methods: combination of the 2 research methods.
