Lecture 18 chapter 12 (how humans evolved) Homo heidelbergensis where all modern humans arise from. Used a wide range of approaches to collect extract & hunt for food. Interglacial: a period in between glacial period: distribution of suitable habitat that is different from what expected in glacial periods. Glacial periods: expansion of desert regions: potential barrier to migration. The holocene: 12,000 years ago to now slide 27. Homo erectus: discovered early on in indonesia, later, found in other parts of east asia. Homo ergaster: parts in south east asia.
