Psyc 215 lecture 20 roles and the creation of social reality. Within each grouping of species of instrument, you have groups of types of instruments. Then someone gets the attention and plays a note and they all get in tune. Then they all start doing their own thing again. >it"s not music, it"s all just random jumbled noise. Football has created hours discussing and preparing patterns with x"s and o"s. You know which o you are and what you"re supposed to do when. You don"t know what other people are meant to do, or what"s going on with the whole big picture, but you"re part is integral to the whole picture working out. You are part of a larger system and effort. Role = a set of behaviours expected of someone in a particular position in a social system. We play roles which fit together into a larger system. Police officers are expected to behave in a certain way.
