Final exam is similar in format to the midterm 70-80 qs. Questions from the first part of the course will be mostly conceptual rather than research details. Exam weighting will be more towards to second half of the course. Tells us about visiting the mso and watching all the musicians come on stage and start warming up. Each grouping of musicians playing a certain instrument have a principal chair. Interesting how everything goes from complete chaos until the conductor comes on stage and raises his baton (complete silence) organised and beautiful sounds. This relates to social life which is the topic of discussion for today. Role: a set of behaviours expected of someone in a particular position in a social system. We all follow scripts in our interactions with others and sometimes deviating from them too much can lead to awkwardness. 1950s: women were the caregivers and men were the bread winners.
