Part 1: the history and theory of politics under anarchy. The study of the behaviours of the actors. These new states were sovereign states, which implies international anarchy. Sovereign implies that there is no larger authority above those states. The kingdoms would only have to worry about themselves, 1. so they had no right to intervene in the other"s states. It is good because it removes the danger of foreign a. intervention but it also removes the possibility of good intervention. So it was a double edged sword. b. which is large political units which are sovereign. We are as what we know as the modern system. International anarchy means there is now world governments, so ii. ii. iii. iv. political authority is decentralized. One important implication of anarchy is that we are talking: who possesses the power resources, and who tells what is the legitimate way of using the power sources.
