Random reassociation of chain give rise to antibody molecules. The t cell receptors are formed in the same ways. Regulatory t cell: both in the humoral and cellular response. Allows to avoid possibility of auto immunity. No need to know about other types of t cells: tcr and slg are formed randomly. Occurs during normal life (evolutionary phenomenon), not in response to antigenic stimulation: when the early t cells leave the bone marrow to go to the thymus, they are double positive (cd4+ and cd8+). Dendritic cell picks up the virus and will phagocytose it. Virus is in the dendritic cell, chewed up ad digested in pieces. The viral fragment on the cell surface in an mhc class2 molecule. Th1 helper cell comes along and makes cytokines. T-cell receptor binds to the peptide on the surface of the mhc class 2 molecule. Cd8+ t cytotoxic cell (tc) comes along. The thymus must process every since molecule in the body.
