Document Summary
Electric fields inside conductor is zero but free charges inside them could be rearranged depending on external charge (ex. safest place during lightning is inside of a car - electrical shielding) Physics 102 (provatas) - t/r 11:35-12:55: electric field inside conductor: induction of charges - positive charge and negative charge separates, outward e field is perpendicular to surface. Xerography (printing) : photoconductor drum induces charges on the surfaces; toner has positive charges, paper with negative charges, the printings get printed. Electric field formulae of linear charge distribution: *no dependence on position horizontally or from plane for surface charge density* r is position perpendicular from the line. Electric potential: example would be cathode ray tube which shows signals using plate potential differences. Physics 102 (provatas) - t/r 11:35-12:55: cathode ray oscilloscope - electron beam is deflected by electric field; constant acceleration throughout; measure of potential difference (v) over the time.
