Refract light to back of the eye. Clear hard covering that protects the lens of the eye. Light enters at the cornea and pass through liquid until it reaches the pupil. Muscle that forms the coloured part of eye. Regulates amount of light that enters the eye. Allows light into the interior of the eye. The opening in the iris through which light enters the eye. Controlled by muscles, therefore the shape can change. Focuses 20% of the light - refracture power. 6 extra ocular muscles - the process by which the muscles control the shape of the lens to adju viewing objects at different distances is known as accomodation. Exotropia - one eye has an outward turn. Pupillary response - an attempt to optimize visual performance in different light environments. The pupil will become dilated in dim light = large pupil. The pupil will become constricted in bright light = small pupil.
