Clear-cut alternative method for copying contents of cell works with contiguous (adjacent to each other) & can also be used to finish text series (days of week, month names etc) Click cell (or drag through cells) position mouse pointer over fill handle of cell(s) (changes to thin crosshair) click & hold left mouse button down while dragging over destination cells release mouse. Cell to be copied contains formula formula is copied (cell references are changed appropriately & excel performs the calculation) Relative cell references: change relative to direction in which formula is copied.
