Radiation therapy is used to treat cancers like glioblastoma. Also used in palliative manner when tumor is inoperable and/or where drugs cannot work (e. g. shrinks/eliminates tumours alone and/or in combination with surgery or chemotherapies in the brain: external-beam radiation therapy, placed in a big machine. Internal radiation therapy (brachytherapy) delivered via radioactive sources placed inside/near the body = radioisotopes in seeds in the eye to treat the tumor. External beam radiotherapy, these are sources that are coming outside of the body. Brachytherapy = when you have this seeds that are placed into the body.
