Noticed differences between a dyad (2 person group) and triad (3 person group) What is the difference? (cid:858) o(cid:272)iatio(cid:374)(cid:859)- human social interaction. In a triad, one person seems to take over the leadership role whereas the dyad group its more 50/50 for leadership. Group dynamics are different depending on number of people involved. Solomon asch (social psychologist)- conformity studies 1956. We are more likely to go along with the group concenous. Dyad- if one leaves the group is over, there is a one against one dynamic. Triad if one leaves the group continues. Two against one dynamics/majority opinion vs negotiation. More things can become possible when you have the power aspect within a group. The group/collective has characteristics/properties that are more than the sum of individuals.
