(acoustic-verbal-linguistic: sts capacity, 7 +/- 2 chunks of information. Further evidence: serial position curve, primacy & recency effects, fits with sts vs lts distinction. Long term memories intact but coulnt learn new information. Turns out this is not entirely true. When you gave them a task to learn and practice. They show evidence of memory and learning how to do that task even though they do not remember actually doing it: something is getting into long term memory.
