Mechanisms are how things work: how we express things. The way you act in multiple situations: doesn"t change from day to day. Personality influences the environments/situations you choose to be in. Ex: nearly everyone has language skills which allow them to learn and use a language. Everyone has the desire to belong to social groups. Group (and hence individual) differences level of analysis. One group of people can share one trait that makes them different from another group. Also, men are more physically aggressive than women. Organization implies that we are talking about a theory. A theory : organizes research findings to tell a coherent story, can be used to make predictions. About human behavior ( given that you are i predict that you most likely will : provides a guide for researchers (directing future research) Is comprehensive (can be used to explain all of the known facts)
