A frame is a set of assumptions/beliefs about a situation. On teams, frames happen automatically and are shaped by experiences, personality & individual goals, Teams that can reframe a task from performance to learning orientation will be more effective with complex/innovative tasks. Team: a collection of individuals who are interdependent in their tasks, who share responsibility for outcomes, who see themselves and are seen by others as an intact social entity a social system, and manage their relationships. Teaming: a verb, being in non-static groups with time to practice interacting successfully and efficiently. Able to disband in a minute with a more dynamic approach to developing performance. Work can be done better with more than one person. Self-managed teams: planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating own work. Virtual teams: temporary systems (work on several tasks) Multicultural/national teams: different ethnic members working towards a common goal.
