" (text p. 42) Explicit norms: formally communicated rules (found in an employee manual) Implicit norms: unstated rules everyone understands (ottawa sens staffers don"t take "a break" to watch daily practice" Former student upper management for senators, ticket sellers would take breaks during day to sneak out and watch practice, got fired for missing quotas ii. Its all about seeking the truth (evidence, arguments) Challenge yourself to think, reflect and learn- it will help you flourish in your professional (and personal) life. iii. 55% of the first impression you make is based on what the other person sees. Attire: not just what you wear, but how. Social media: photos of you passed out at a kegger? iv.
