Black dog syndrome: high euthanasia rates and low adopion rates of black dogs, especially large black dogs in animal shelters (seen as more aggressive) Anthropocentrism- considering human beings as the most signiicant enity of the universe: canadian law is anthropocentric (animals are categorized as property, interpreing or regarding the world in terms of human values and experiences. Sociology- the science of society, social insituions and social relaionships. Culture (anthropocentric deiniion)- the integrated patern of human knowledge, belief and behaviour that depends upon the capacity for learning and transmiing knowledge to succeeding generaions.
