KINE 2P05 Lecture Notes - Lecture 1: Motor Skill, Electroencephalography, Lightning
Document Summary
How the body recieves, processes, integrates, responds to, stores infromation. Study of the neural , physical and behavioral aspects underline movement. Behavioral= psychologic aspect, how does emotions and such affects the movement. Changes in a set of internal processes ( neural systems) Leads to a relatively permanent change in motor performance. By experience = visually watching and learning the movement. The observable attempt of a person executing a motor skill. Level of performance may be tamporary and not be due to practice. Example: doing a practice one day good one day bad. Knowledge of results-outcome measure: observations about the end result of your performance. Electroencephalography(eeg): same thing but observing the lightning in brain. ( how was the response produced. Based on :movement precision and muscles being used. Externally placed ( cant be fully planned for in advance) Sometimes closed motor skills can become open motor skills. Discrete skills: clearly identifiable and specific beginning and end points.
