Right and left atria(atrium) -receive blood from veins. Right and left ventricles -force blood out of the heart into arteries. Septum- separates the atria and ventricles on the left and right side. The heart pumps blood: to the lungs to pick up the oxygen, then, to the rest of the body. Closed loop of vessels carrying blood between heart and lungs systemic circulation. Carries blood between the heart and organ systems.
