Blinders are put on horse racers so that they don"t get distracted (similar to those who don"t have adhd) There"s always something going that doesn"t affect those who have adhd. At least 6 of the following symptoms of inattention must have persisted for at least 6 months to an extent that is maladaptive and inconsistent with developmental level. Fails to give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork, work, or other activities. Does not seem to listen to what is being said. Does not follow through on instructions and fails to finish schoolwork.
