Schedule issues are a major cause of conflicts on projects. Activity list: activity: a task to be done (from wbs) with associated information about expected duration, dependencies, constraints, cost, resource requirements, etc, activity list: lists activities with unique identifiers and names. Milestone: a significant event that is expected to occur in the project (such as when a whole component is ready, or review has been passed) Typically has no duration: one milestone usually requires the outcomes of multiple activities. Important to define milestones so one can judge whether it was reached. Shows project activities and milestones with intended dates (intended start and finish) for each activity with the date for each milestone to be reached. Provide a standard format for displaying project schedule information by listening project activities and their corresponding start and finish dates in a calendar format plenty of tools to support this.
