The middle cavity contains the uterus and vagina (during pregnancy the baby is essentially stored in the urethra, and then passes through the vagina during birth). The back cavity contains the rectum and the anal canal (the rectum stores feces until you are ready to defecate, whereby it passes through the anal canal).
