Proofreading involves improving grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mechs of your messages: experts say that only amateurs expect writing perfection on 1st try, many professional writers compose 1st draft quickly w/o worrying abt language, precision, or correctness. Revising for conciseness: this meaning that concise messages save reading time and money, eliminating flabby expressions. Turning out slim sentences and lean messages means that you will strive to trim fat : limiting long lead-ins. Another way to create concise sentences is to delete unnecessary introductory words. A more concise and more direct sentence deletes long lead-ins: dropping unnecessary there is/are and it is/was fillers. In many sentences expressions there is/are and it is/ was func as unnecessary fillers. Eliminate them by recasting sentence: rejecting redundancies. Expressions that repeat meaning or include unnecessary words are redundant.
