Purity of the heart is to will one thing - soren kierkegaard. Question: whether you live in such a way that you are conscious of being an individual. Consciousness of our lives is the fundamental condition for truthfully willing only one thing. He who is not aware of himself and his being is ever truly anything - he merely just exists in an external sense. The all-knowing one desires the individual not the crowd. The individual show render his account to god. The one who seeks to hide in a crowd is attempting to run from god. One can hide as much as they want, but eternity will demand of him that he shall have lived as an individual. Eternity will draw out the consciousness of the individual and everything they have done, strictly responsible for only himself as an individual. No pride in being more than an individual, nor any less than one.
