Final study guide: evil is causally necessary for good . Give an example of a causally related evil and good. To say that evil is necessary as a means to good implies a severe restriction of god"s power. Furthermore, some people view abortion as a sin as it is seen as the act of killing. In some very rare cases however, it might be in the best interest of the mother to abort the child to avoid further complications to her own health - even death (rare). Obviously, losing one potential life over two is the better option, so it becomes permissible. If god were omnipotent in the first place though, he would be able to prevent either terrible thing from happening. This solution is fallacious because in order to accept it, you must deny either the fact that god is omnipotent, or the definition of omnipotent: summarize one argument for god"s immutability.
