Frequent, timely, and accurate communication remain the primary means through which employees and work units effectively synchronize their work. Functions of communication: coordination, organizational learning, decision making, changing behaviour, supporting employee well being. Two main types of channels non verbal and verbal. Email hard to show emotions, loss of politeness and respect, difficult for complex situations, and contributes to information overload.
