The blood vessels dilate to cool off (effector is the blood vessel) Effectors are also the sweat glands to cool body temperature. Reach climax event you can go back to set point. Chemical messages to cause an effector somewhere in the body. Can be used to estimate metabolic rate assuming mist metabolism is aerobic. Metabolism forms atp, co2 and water and energy lost as heat. Body at comfy temp you don"t need energy to regulate temp. Co2 reacts with body to get carbonic acid. Gases diffuse high to low partial pressure, not concentration. In same medium pressure and concentration will be proportional. Adaptations to increase sa and decrease membrance thickness. Oxygen goes into capillaries and co2 comes out.
