Harder to get nutrients & oxygen to their cells. Use the surface area to volume ratio to explain features of multicellular life, such as the need for and shape of certain organismal structures. As shape gets bigger volume gets larger much quicker than surface area. We need more sa for small intestine villi. Increasing the sa w/out changing the intestine absorb more w. out taking up space. Digest and to absorb nutrients, they are not creating movement. Identify the type of feedback (positive, negative, or none) being employed in a given scenario. Increase blood volume causes weak heart increase blood volume already caused weak heart but it keeps enabling.
