Regain: what one has lost or prevented from obtaining. Escape: to get away from the anger and strain. Crime viewed as the response or inability to live up to middle-class values (middle class measuring rods). Criminal: profitable crimes, techniques, education on the street, exist in stable neighborhoods, know shady cops. Retreatist: drug oriented, double failures, don"t fit in, withdrawal from society.
