CHEM 201 Study Guide - Final Guide: Vitamin C, Observational Error, Rate Equation
Document Summary
Procedure: please refer to page 23 of my laboratory manual for a general outline of the steps to be followed. 0. 0033 m 2. 09 x 10 m 0. 00804 1/s. In this experiment, my partner and i combined several solutions and carried out serial dilutions to get solutions of the appropriate concentrations. After putting the correct amounts of each solution into six different test tubes, we added methylene blue, transferred a sample to a cuvette, and measured the absorbance as a few minutes passed. Using the slope of each graph and the given concentrations, we were able to solve for x, y, and k values. Hcl and ascorbic acid varied in each tube because the manual called for different amounts of each. The methylene blue concentration remained the same because it was not diluted at all. Five of the six graphs produced from our data came out decently.
