Document Summary

A conduct disorder is a mental disorder that usually comes about in childhood. Its hallmarks include violation of societal norms and of the basic rights of others, specifically those that are appropriate to the person"s age. Oppositional defiant disorder is a disorder that usually comes about during childhood and has symptoms of an irritable mood, defiance, argumentativeness, and vindictive behaviors. Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder od adhd is a psychological disorder that typically arises in childhood in which the child suffers from lack of attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Both oppositional defiant disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder are disorders that are typically seen in troubled" children, more often than not in school/academic settings. I found it very interesting the difference in approach to treatment for these disorders. Typically, with adhd, we see that children are medicated with little to no talk or behavioral therapies.
