Document Summary

How do people use it? how was it made? . Experimental archaeology: trying to do the things you think people were doing in the past to figure out the time involved and what was used. Learn a lot about the actual process that people were using in the past ie. flint mapping: flint mapping: fracture stone to make tools help find what skill level is involved, time needed, materials needed. Ethnoarchaeology: the study of peoples for archaeological reasons usually through the study of the material remains of a study. What does peoples trash say about them? the study of material remains material culture ie. if people lie about their alcohol consumption you can look in their trash. Bill rathje: associated with the garbology project . Finding garbage from years and years ago finds that there is so much paper taking up landfills and we are doing a bad job recycling! The environmental bad guys are not diaper, styrofoam, etc.
