Pol 271 (world politics) is an introductory 4-credit hour course to the field of. In this course, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to, and acquire a fundamental understanding of and appreciation for, the dynamics of world politics and international relations. The primary focus of this course is to provide students with the conceptual and analytical tools to assess, interpret and explain a wide range of observable dynamics of world politics. In other words, the course is not revolving around current events discussions; although some of these will certainly be used in the appropriate context the objectives of this course are mainly three-fold.
