Upstage, downstage, stage left, stage right (p. 28) Time: rhythm and beat: syncopation: unexpected accents, accents in unexpected places. Types of energy highlight what you"re doing, they cannot be faked: percussive/staccato: sharp, sustained/legato, suspension then fall, pendular and then swinging, collapse, vibratory.
