Lenses that distort our view of gender: biological essentialism- attributing all male/female difference to either biology or to the natural order of things (nature intended it that way, hyster- uterus- hysterical. In men, the left side of the brain is slightly larger (associated with logical thinking, math). Women have larger right (creativity, communication: high testosterone levels have been linked to aggressive behavior, and men have more testosterone and are more aggressive (sometimes, everyone has both hormones so this is false. Also random things can increase testosterone: gray matter is the outside of the brain. White matter is towards the center of the brain. Gray is math and logic: brain develops over time depending on which sections we use.
