Heart, blood, veins , capillaries etc: fluid that circulates ( blood, channel (vessels) that fluid circulates through, pump (heart) to keep fluid moving. 2 main types in animal kingdom open circulatory , closed circulatory systems. Open system things such as insects, where the whole body cavity contains a liquid that is the blood . Closed system we have a closed system. It"s called closed because of the blood flowing in vessels. Mammals/birds have 4 chambered hearts fish have 2 chambers reptiles/amphibians have 3 chambered hearts (birds are reptiles that have a 4 chambered heart) Our heart is evolutionary more modern than the other hearts: carry oxygen , nutrients , and waste . our lungs take oxygen from the air via diffusion. Every cell in our bodies need the oxygen to make atp. Our circulatory system produces waste on the return trip ( co2 , our urine takes out waste as well: they distribute hormones.
