In europe they started to find rocks that looked different and realized they were chip stones of extinct species. Two different cultures that have very different behaviors that are learned even though biologically they are the same. If you have behaviors that are not very well adapted to the environment. Ex: clothing in the artic, killing a mammoth then that person will probably die and that behavior will not be passed on through socialization. Tools started to find tools around 2. 5 million years ago. Culture is our non-biological (things that are learned) means of adapting to our natural and social environment. Variation that allows you to have more offspring means you are more fit. Variations more suited often survive to reproduce, or reproduce more.
