Selected plants and 7 different traits they had and were simple with limited way of expressions from them. In the parent generation he took two pure bred ones from a specific trait, took one that was pure bred tall and one short. The first generation offspring all came out tall, the shortness seemed to be lost in this generation or just masked really. He allowed the first generation to fertilize itself or cross. The second generation he found the majority were tall but then had some that were short, so the trait was not lost after all. He did this many times, as well as with colors and others, to have found this: Some how or another, information occurs in discrete units, and somehow they separate in life but still passed down when they are paired again and brought up the principle of segregation.
