Document Summary

Bipolar attitudes range from anti to pro. Unipolar attitudes range from neutral to pro or neutral to anti, and they tend to be on more of a continuum. For instance, how much do you like ice cream, sports, or sex in the city shows? are questions that prompt unipolar responses. I would not really say, i am pro ice cream. Instead, i would rank my attitude toward ice cream. Perhaps, i could say very much on a scale that goes from not at all to extremely well. In general, those who hold a bipolar attitude (anti or pro), toward an attitude object, will have a good knowledge and understanding of both sides of the argument. However, the person only endorses one side. (e. g. pro-life, anti-homosexual etc. ) For instance, i would not say that i like abortion a little bit or i don"t like homosexuals at all.
