Know the 4 chambers of the heart and blood circulation through the heart. Know a little about the histology of cardiac muscle tissue. Know a little about the disorders of the heart. Know and be able to identify all the blood vessels listed in your lab manual. Know the characteristics of the blood vessels and the tunica of them. Pulmonary circulation; trunk, arteries, capillaries and veins of the system. Know the circulatory routes: simple path, portal system, anastomosis. Know the vessels of the regions, carotid and jugular vessels of the head and neck area, brachiocephalic veins and trunk, azygos system, cephalic and basilic veins of the upper extremity and small and great saphenous of the lower extremity. Understand the hepatic portal system, where it is from and function and also the hepatic veins.
