Capitalism is the most productive system that ever existed. It has been successful in bringing the entire world into a single system. The relationship between the capitalist mode of production and mode of exchange has a great deal of influence on the existing social order. The economic order in this system does not make sense since there is a contradiction. In this paper, i will be exploring the fundamental contradiction that comes with the capitalist mode of production as well as how the social and economical conflicts that follow from this basic contradiction. To begin, in his work on theoretical , engels argues that, the concept of historical materialism starts from the principle of production, and with production the exchange of its products. This idea is the basis of every social order. The fundamental contradiction that has arisen through capitalism is already present in germ.
