Older ppl less likely to acknowledge traditional psychological symptoms. They don"t report their symptoms in a manner that allows for accurate diagnosis. Clinician"s stereotype; associate symptoms as part of aging process and not as a separate illness. They may want to avoid stigmatizing the older person by not diagnosing them with a psyc disorder.
