Since the industrial revolution, global climate and environmental change have rapidly been moving towards an alarming state. A consistent increase in carbon emissions over the past century has posed a very real threat towards humanity and attempts to control emissions, under agreements such as the kyoto protocol, have also had little to no impact. Countries under such agreements, (known as annex 1 nations) like germany and canada are still some of the largest contributors to emissions globally and the impact can be seen on developing (non-annex 1) nations such as tuvalu and ecuador. In this paper, we will compare the nations of china, Norway, ecuador, tuvalu, germany and canada, analyzing their individual contributions to. Gec, the resulting effects felt on their environment and the responses they have taken in order to reduce their impact with regards to equity and fairness.
