Urban space and citizenship- laws that regulate the use of space to signify the function of space and citizenship. Citizenship- confers rights, privileges and obligations on the members of political collectivities. It embraces civil, political and social elements, bringing into play particular and morally based ideas about both the social good and sentiments of belonging and commonality often far removed from material conditions and social context. Vagrancy law in canada- refers to someone who is both homeless and jobless and makes their living by begging. Significance- according to the canadian criminal code a vagrant is a loose, disorderly person who begs from door to door. Who is not employed,refuses to maintain his family,loiters,spends majority of time in the streets etc. destroys property. Typically squatters/homeless people who occupy empty spaces for a living. Administrative law- the body of law that regulates the operation and procedures of government agencies. (apprehension of bias).
