Community psychologists have sought to understand how settings have layers of cultural influences that impact the composition, functioning, and interactions of its members. These dimensions of diversity have been centrally involved in defining and addressing social issues. Psychological and social meaning in many societies: a socially constructed set of categories related to inequalities of status and power.
