Dif cult to match the content of the game to the lesson. Grade level and age are unreliable indices of ability. Use children developmental age to decide the content to be taught. Children develop at very different rate and this is important. Childrens tasks are determined based on children abilitties rather then the calendar that places all children together. This is important when children"s skill level is limited because they only have pe classes one or two days a week. Basic level - pre control - children are encouraged to throw a ball hard or far. This can lead to a more mature biomechanically ef cient method. Once children master this over hand throw they can then work on throwing at a partner or target. In even more advances levels (utilization and pro cient) children may be invited to play even more advanced games like keep away. Relect students interests over a period of time.
